Project Goal and Purpose
Project Goal –
Our goal is to advertize and get the word out so that people can donate their used and gently worn shoes. We want to help educate people about The Ozark Water Project and the team effort with our STEM Science Club and Earth Ambassadors so that they can help by getting involved. We are going to create a brochure to help educate people about what the project is and how they can participate. We are also going to create PSAs (Public Service Announcements) to show during our in-house Daily News Broadcast. We can also publish the videos to our EAST at Gardner YouTube Channel, “eastatgardner” to spread the word about the project.
Purpose of the Project -
The organization’s mission is to alleviate as much human suffering as possible by providing affordable footwear and a cup of clean fresh water for those who thirst. They are trying to collect shoes that can be exchanged for money to help purchase equipment and materials needed to dig new wells in areas where fresh water is not available. They also make shoes available to people to use as a bartering system in small villages. It allows them to trade the shoes for other items or food they need.
We will create a PowerPoint that we can convert to a windows media file. This video will be saved on the Gardner Network folder for teachers to use in their classrooms to show whole group on their Promethean Boards to their students. It will also be saved to show on our daily news broadcast, GETN (Gardner’s Educational Teaching Network).
Videos created will also be published to YouTube under the “eastatgardner” account for the public and our subscribers to view. This will help to educate more people about the importance of clean fresh water around the world. They will learn the health benefits of clean water. They will also learn how something as simple as donating shoes they don’t need any longer really help to save lives. We will create a brochure to educate others about The Ozark Water Project and the shoe drive the Earth Ambassadors and STEM Club are hosting. We will educate them on the importance of the project, how it works, what they can do, and simple steps to follow to help make a difference in the world and help to the lives of people who do not have clean water to drink, use for cleaning, doing laundry, or
cooking.
